Well, we finally got to a goal that we have been working toward – retirement. We’re trying to sort out what that means. Right now I am able to do that sitting on a patio in my shirt sleeves waiting to photograph the humming bird that keeps coming to the feeder. We are blessed!

Retirement doesn’t mean that we retire from family, friends, opportunities to bless others. In fact, it may mean that we will be better able to do that with our time in ways that we couldn’t do before.

God has been good to us in so many ways; but we have endeavored to follow Him. I have not always done that well; but I keep trying, and that’s what we are endeavoring to do now.
If you are reading this, I would encourage you to seek to know the love of Jesus, to grow in that love, and then to show that love to the people in your life. Do this mean that everything will go as you want?  Probably not because there are a lot of other factors in our lives besides our own desires.  However, seeking to know God and follow Him is the best way I know for a life of satisfaction.

Please pray for us as we continue our journey down some different trails …

  1. It’s got to be a lot warmer there to see Hummingbirds. Lots of snow and below zero temperatures here. Brrrr! Ah retirement… enjoy the relaxation while you can; before you know it you’ll be so busy and wonder how you got it all done before retirement. Take care.
